Perfect

The sun was slightly hidden by the clouds, it cast it's rays over her caramel skin which glistened with the radiance of a maiden finally free to express herself. She wore a light green gown, the one she had first put on at the grocery store where we first met. She was beautiful: as beautiful as the hibiscus she picked off  the low hanging branch we walked past before we set down on the fields. She,  the lady in green, was finally here with me. Away from the noise of city life, away from the judging eyes of the public. She was here with me, and in this moment everything...everything is perfect. Everything is perfect. Credit Mr T

Time

Image
Another day another hustle The usual phrase on our lips After a day's work In earth's beautiful embrace, it gifts us time To bask in its beauty Let us see your face one last time Before you die again to night's darkness Beautiful truly you are But if only we could see If only we could see with all the chaos With all the "I'm busy" The lie we tell ourselves Oh I have no time for this and that When only that's the only thing we have Time! Since we all are on this death roll Let me live, let me live just a little Before my light fades away Into the night's dark arms

Gifted soul

I got a gift and it was you It was us in the rain With the smell of earth  It's being a year and you are still here I got a gift and it was it The freedom of the cage got me scared, so scared I almost missed it The risk of the leap But then I took it Now I'm here staring at these silent words but yet I hear it so loud saying welcome home I got a gift and it was I  I almost forgot how beautiful you are, so this gift I'll cherish from now on I'll love you like my life depends on it, well I guess it does. I got a gift and now I'm free!

Hello

Wandering minds trying to understand In his feeble mind he said Hello death, it's nice to meet you When it's time please be gentle or not We are all on death roll So why should I fear your strokes It's a mystery trying to understand this life Almost like we were made for his amusement Why do we suffer as though we are guilty When in the first instance it was never a choice to be here or not Never a choice to be made immortal or not Never a choice to be brought to this insane world Never a choice to be so imperfect Never a choice to be born impure or not Then when we are gone we are judged on a life we never had the choice to be part of And so he said, hello death its nice to meet you...

living or Existing

She sees clearly now How buried she'd been Deep down, in this rustling town The nine to five, oh! What a clown Rumbling, crumbling, almost drowning Voices so loud its deafing So firm its convincing But in there is that tiny echo That finds her when she is lost Why can't she go back to when To when life only meant play time Such a scam, this thing called adulthood let's trade for some dimes Let's visit her Chi and make a deal Maybe then, she could really be Be happy!

Loud Echoes

Two sides to a coin The cards life deals us, unknown A wise man warned, Never act on these two Anger and excitement Its easy to hate, judge, get angry And draw first blood out it these emotions But I hope you know, If life played judge and jury You would be dead. Oh she is not my sister so kill her, I don't like his people they say, Let's give the slot to our blood Burn him, thief, ole, barawo, onyoshi When did this become us? You forget so soon,  You were moulded by the same Potter And in just a blink karma would deal you your card So I hope you wouldn't mind to walk in those same shoes Hate speaks several languages But love just one We are one equal being we forget That's why a dead man's resting place is always beneath this earth And we all are on death roll never forget Let love lead Let wisdom guide Let peace reign

THE BEAST

On life's slippery slides It feels like a roll of dice you are made of steel The top of the food chain That's where you stain Where your preys are slain A beast of nature, a gift A perfect imperfection In your grace, they bow on that big bough A baby eagle is still an eagle Says a wise fellow with the pigeons it dare not mingle swindle, or signal up there beasting and kinging Never forget an eagle never scavenge for carcass But always are you first-class Your flight, non can dare It's rumored, it's as high as the gods But then a god in its own class you're Never forget, what a beast you're

The Walk

Hello from the other side I can't believe we're still in this ride This feeling can't be phantomed What we share like a mystery We fit like two peas to a pod Mon cherie, je t'aime My support system you fit like a sole Oh how you read this soul Mon amour, words and maybe the language fail me So I hope you'll keep imprinting your touch Infinity and forever can't capture this But for as long as we walk this earth May our footprints remain side by side And this sweet rumble, Last just as the ocean's tide

The Chickened Eagle

I heard a story recently and its probably my best so far. It's about a man who was walking along the way and saw an egg, an eagle's egg and not being sure of what to do with it decided to take it home. He got home and put the eagle's egg in a nest where other chicken eggs were, the eggs hatched almost the same time. So the eagle grew up and did what chickens  do, they would play around and pick the earth scrambling for worms and  also try to fly just above the ground like chickens do and do basically chicken stuff. So one day when the eagle grew old,  a bird flew so graciously across the farm and the eagle asked, what is that flying so high in the sky, the chicken responded saying that's an eagle, the king of all birds so great and strong but don't worry about being like it because it's an eagle and we are just chickens.  So the eagle lived and died a chicken.  In life we get misplaced, we loose our way but the decision to move or change your present state is
